October 1, 2019

Thor this morning at 6:46 am. We have plenty of leaves on the ground now

Every year is the same, I don’t want to admit to myself that I am excited about October, but since I moved to America it has turned into my second favorite month of the year (nothing beats July 🙂 ). Planted flowers in the cities are yellow, orange and red, there are pumpkins everywhere, houses are decorated with spooky Halloween stuff, adults can enjoy ‘October fest’ and there are lots of fun activities for kids (and adults) like apple picking, hayrides, pumpkin carving, haunted houses, and then of course there is Halloween to end this month. I know that a lot of these things are now a thing in Sweden as well, like Halloween and pumpkin carving, but I didn’t grow up with that. There is just this nice feeling about October. Usually here where we live the weather is still pretty nice and the trees are so pretty. It really does feel like fall here. I wish October lasted til May 😛

We have some plans for this month, not much but weekends are booked. Going in to nyc for Fall for Dance twice, I hope I get chances to go into the city to take dance classes and in a couple of weeks Jim’s brother is coming to visit. And next week I have acupuncture and then my first monthly blood test. The weather will stay this warm for a couple of more days it seems like but then by the weekend the colder temperatures are coming. So sweater weather, candles and snuggle under blankets are slowly coming:)
