Ten years ago I met a guy in a bar. He told me his name was Jimmy and I responded “that’s my favorite name”. He didn’t know that I actually meant it, he probably thought it was some cheesy line. But it was the truth. I had no intention on flirting with him, I was in a relationship at the time which I told him.
But we kept in contact and became friends. He didn’t know many people in the city, my girl friends were busy with their own things, so we thought it was fun to explore New York City together. He took me to my very first baseball game, I took him to his first Midsummer celebration and we explored different areas of NYC.
I can’t believe we’ve known each other for ten years, been married for eight and now we are having a baby. Our love has always been strong. Sure, we’ve have some tough times to get through but never have we questioned the love we have for each other. I love him, I like him and I can’t wait to explore this new chapter together as parents.
