Vilken bra dag jag hade igar. Gjorde nagra arenden (blev tyvarr inga shorts eller skor dock), at lunch pa nya matdelen i Brookfield Place, tittade lite pa fotboll och sag filmen “The Hunter”.
What a great day I had yesterday. Some errands (got no new shorts or shoes though), ate lunch at the new food-part in Brookfield Place, watched a little soccer and saw the movie “The Hunter”.
Something else we did yesterday was that we sat up on the rooftop to get a tan for a while. It is so wonderful to just be able to get up there and be away from all others and read a book without getting disturbed by that somebody comes and talks to you (cause it happens often here).
In this city you can get everything, yes indeed, everything. If you want to talk to people, you can, always. But you are also very rarely alone here. Having a rooftop, backyard or perhaps a balcony to spend time outdoors at is actually not a bad idea for anyone wanting to stay in a big city but also wants to enjoy a quiet moment (cause you quickly learn to appreciate the moments you’re alone here). There are many places especially in Brooklyn and Queens that has a backyard. If you want a family but still wants to live in the city, perhaps it’s a good option to move out there. Many buys a house in New Jersey or upstate and commute into the city, but it feels so not worth it to put so much time to travel back and forth, or what do you think?
We, who do not plan to have a family here is doing well on Manhattan. Additionally, Battery Park is like a bubble with less traffic, singing birds and green spaces. No wonder that the families who actually want to live on Manhattan lives down here.
