Isen smalter sakta bort har i New York.

Even if I don’t like the winter, I still have to say that it is beautiful to look at snow and ice sometimes. The ice is slowly melting here in New York. Every day this week I have walked along Hudson River and watched the thick ice that is floating by. It is calming in a way, hard to describe. Yesterday we had blue sky and sun all day and the evening sunset was magical. It’s days and nights like yesterday that makes me love this city. Because even though the this city is driving me insane sometimes, I still know that these wonderful moments exist.

Hi guys! How are you? I’m feeling great! It’s blue sky and sunny outside. Veeeeery cold though, but as long as it’s not snowing its ok. With four layers of clothes, you can go outside 🙂
I have been blogging for almost 10 years and for the past years I have been thinking about the blog every single day and all the time. Its been nice to take a break this past week. But, of course I’ve been thinking of you and the blog, I can’t totally disconnect from it 🙂
Here above are some pictures form the past week. I have been snuggling with little Levy, walked outside in warmer degrees (yay!!), “fikat”, enjoyed NYC, ate nice food and the little puppy got a new haircut.

Brooklyn Flea

Yesterday we went to Brooklyn Flea to look at records. When we got there we saw that they had much more than just records. Clothes, toys, porcelain, furniture and other stuff. They also had new things from smaller companies and a food court with several different restaurants. We started with lunch and chose food from Asia Dog and sat in one of the bars they had there.Incredibly good burgers that really tasted like a Korean dinner.
The selection of the various stands was unfortunately a bit boring. I found a Led Zeppelin record for Jim for a very good price but other than that there was nothing interesting. But, it’s also more interesting to go to a flea market if you for example have a house and can buy stuff you can redo them. Since we know that we will move from NY in the future and don’t want a lot to pack we don’t want to buy a bunch of stuff now. Our apartment already has way too much stuff that we will need to pack in boxes in the future, hahah.

The Smoke Joint

Vi akte till Fort Green i Brooklyn och at middag pa The Smoke Joint idag. Riktigt riktigt gott!

We went to Fort Green in Brooklyn for dinner at The Smoke Joint today. Really really good! We saw a food program few months ago where they recommended this place, so today we wanted to try it. The food came out almost directly after we ordered it felt like, which is a huge plus when you are hungry. Though, a kinda typical Brooklyn restaurant with pretty boring wood-design. I ate a catfish sandwich with potato salad and Jim ordered beef short rib with bbq beans and we shared corn. Absolutely worth to try and we will go there again! You can find the menu we had HERE.
