I got to see our baby yesterday🥰

Hubby was not welcome to come and you’re not allowed to film so he missed out on all the fascinating stuff I saw on the screen. But oh well.
Babys measures were perfect and my body looks great. The doctor did however tell me and show me in the end something they had found on the baby. She told me I shouldn’t be scared of the information and we should not go home and google or worry about it since all other tests and scans has been perfect and I’m considered a low risk. But after the journey we’ve had to get here, how could we not, right?
But hubby and I have decided to stay positive and hopeful that everything will be ok and we’ll have a healthy baby this spring💕🙏🏻
I only got to see baby in 3D for a few seconds and she/he had hands covering the face for most of it, but from what I can tell it’s a little cutie in there😍 I can’t wait for the day when we get to meet our “Lilliput”💗

Stillness in NYC

Stillness in one of the busiest cities of the world

When I walked in Battery Park in June 2019 I saw that they had torn down My Favorite Place in the city and this made me a bit sad. I used to go there all the time when we lived there (it’s in the back of our old apartment). Nobody else really used this space then and it was weirdly quiet there, just the sound of the water underneath hitting the poles.

When my husband and I walked by this area two weeks ago, we saw to our surprise that they had rebuilt it. Guess if I was happy🤸🏼‍♀️

Now however it seems to be a popular place, a perfect spot for yoga during pandemic it looked like.
I was obviously not sitting in meditation for more than a couple of minutes for this photo. But that’s not what the picture represents. I see it as a picture of what I felt all those times I’ve been sitting there by myself meditating while we lived next door for four years. Stillness in NYC does exist.
And this time I got to share it with our “Lilliput” (that’s what we call the bump)💗

Thanksgiving 2020

November 30, 2020

How was you Thanksgiving weekend? Did it look different than previous years? For us it didn’t change much. For the past few years we have been celebrating at home just the two of us. We normally travel to Chicago to see J’s family sometime between the holidays or before Thanksgiving, but this year we obviously skipped that all together.
So for us it pretty much looked the same. Just husband and I at home cooking, eating, playing fetch with Thor, facetime people and watching football. But yet, this year felt different of course🥰 I’ve been pregnant one Thanksgiving before but I didn’t know it then yet. We felt extra thankful this year.

We started our Thanksgiving morning with coffee and pumpkin donuts in front of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade on TV. The parade was different this year as well. They still had balloons and performers but they only walked three blocks, streets where blocked off so there wouldn’t be any audience and everyone got tested for covid before. My friend Jess was part of the opening this year again which always is exciting.
Sometime around noon J put the turkey in the oven. I started to prepare the other stuff after 2 or so. Nothing major this year. The stores had run out of cranberry sauce for example and we skipped stuffing. So much food anyway so we really didn’t need more than we had, just a turkey breast (7lbs!), mashed potato and some greens was more than enough for two people:)
In the afternoon we “hung out” with our friends through facetime which was very nice. If the world wouldn’t be like it is we might have actually celebrated with them in person but it is what it is, facetime worked.
Pretty simple Thanksgiving Day just the way we like it.

Jim took this picture and said “Ovens are on” The yellow plate is Thor’s.
He is on a strict diet (due to bladder stones) but after the tough year he’s had we wanted to give him some yummy treats for Thanksgiving. He deserved it.
Jim went to a local bakery that we like in the morning and picked up a pumpkin pie

On Friday we didn’t do much. J was working half the day and I researched baby stuff. In the afternoon we did a yoga practice together and at night we played Jackbox.

On Saturday, as we were eating breakfast listening to classical music, I randomly found through like a # or something on instagram, a stroller brand we’ve never heard of before. We did some research on this for about two hours and then spontaneously actually bought it! Gaahhh! We just bought a stroller! I have done research for years already and in September we had come down to three different ones but now I was kinda set on one, but the one I randomly found this weekend just seemed like a better deal and looked way nicer. Hopefully it’s just as good in person (there aren’t many baby stores here and stores in general don’t have a lot in stock this year due to everything, so we gonna have to buy basically everything online and hope for the best).

Lovely weather on Saturday. Went for a long walk around the “cute street”
