Hello Friday!

Hope you are having an awesome day! I got up before 7 today, took Thor out and then threw towels in the washer before I made myself coffee. Getting things done on my laptop now before I need to take care of a few other things in the apartment.
We are flying to Tampa tonight. I’m so excited for warmer weather, beach and palm trees! It says it’s gonna rain, but hopefully it’s like any warm place which means only a few showers here and there. Jim booked tickets to the hockey playoffs and the game is in the middle of the day tomorrow which isn’t the greatest, but that just means we have to get up super early and then stay up really late:)
If anyone has recommendations for awesome things we need to see while we are there or good places to eat, send me a message.
Have an awesome weekend!

Crazy weather

Thor wants to stay snuggled in all day

It got extremely windy yesterday and then last night it started to rain and it’s been non-stop since. Giant raindrops and strong wind. It sounds like a war zone in our apartment. Of course it sounds a lot worse up on the top floor where we live plus we don’t have any buildings right in front of our apartment and this building isn’t built with the thickest walls of all time, but it’s pretty crazy out there! I’m sitting at my desk on the loft looking out the windows of both floors and I can see out to the terrace door so I see how crazy it really is, it not just sounds like it. And now as I write this, we got thunderstorms as well and the lights in the apartment are blinking. Good thing my dog is the God of Thunder, he can protect me 😀

The apartment needs to be cleaned and I have a video to edit, so if this storm plans on being here all day, then I don’t mind staying inside:)

But this is not as crazy as the weather in Kauai. I keep reading and seeing all the pictures of the flash floods on the island. It does not look pleasant. I hope everyone’s safe!

a warm day in NYC

Yesterday around 11 am, we took the train into New York City. We got off at 125th Street this time and took the subway down to 86. Bought bagels and coffee and walked to Central Park. So. Much. People! Finally warm weather and every single person was outside. But we expected that. After our little picnic, we had a nice stroll in the park, walked back to East Side and took the blue subway down to W4th in West Village. Hung out in a bar, walked around, went to a few stores and soon we decided to walk to Tribeca and eat at Wolfgangs, one of our favorite places when we lived in the city. We were the only ones there which was really nice. We were back at Grand Central before 6 pm to take the train back home. Thor had been with our neighbors until 5, so it was a good time to come. We had an awesome day in the city!

Video from our day will come up on my YouTube channel on Wednesday!:)

Sunday at the gym

From warm and sweaty summer days to freezing cold windy winter. The world is really upside down. It’s like the world can’t decide what to do.
We went to the gym this morning. When it’s cold outside, then what’s better than move around, stretch and take care of our bodies? The floor was kinda dusty, until I had been in there, hahah. It felt so good to move!

And side note; I just saw that Kauai is having major flash flood, I hope everyone stays safe and dry.
