Today we woke up to the fall. It’s still pretty warm for being October, but it’s colder than earlier this week, it’s foggy and darker which makes me sleepy. But every year I have to go against myself and admit that I actually love the fall here in New York. This is a very pretty city when the trees changes color. To be honest, NYC is probably the prettiest city when it comes to all four seasons. I guess I love living here after all. 

Idag vaknade vi upp till hosten. Det ar fortfarande ratt varmt for att vara October, men det ar kallare an tidigare denna vecka, det ar dimmigt och morkare vilket gor mig trott. Men varje ar maste jag ga emot mig sjalv och erkanna att jag faktiskt alskar hosten har i New York. Detta ar en valdigt vacker stad nar traden byter farg. Om jag ska vara arlig, NYC ar formodligen den vackraste staden nar det kommer till alla fyra arstider. Jag antar att jag alskar att bo har trots allt.

Hi! New York City has been lovely this week. 82°F degrees and sunny. Perfect October weather I think:) My husband’s first week since he quit his job last Friday is going by quickly. We’ve been enjoying each others company with being outside, work out at the gym, going out to eat and watching movies. I have to admit that I love having my hubby at home:)
I also got a chance to see Ana that is visiting from Mexico. Us Swedish girls who live here and Ana went to a cute thai place in Williamsburg on Tuesday. We had a great time and it was nice to update about life. I also got a huge shock when one of them showed up being 30 weeks pregnant. I guess we should see each other more often, haha. 

Hej! New York City har varit underbart denna vecka. 28°C grader och soligt. Perfekt October vader tycker jag:) Min mans forsta vecka sen han sa upp sig forra fredagen gar snabbt fram. Vi har njutit av varandras sallskap med att vara ute, trana pa gymmet, ga ut och ata och titta pa film. Jag maste erkanna att jag alskar att ha min make hemma:)
Jag har ocksa fatt chansen att traffa Ana som ar pa besok fran Mexico. Vi svenska tjejer som bor har och Ana gick till ett gulligt thai stalle i Williamsburg i tisdags. Vi hade en harlig kvall och det var trevligt att update om vara liv. Jag fick ocksa en stor chock nar en av dem dok upp gravid i vecka 30. Jag antar att vi maste ses lite oftare, haha. 

Last night when Jim and I walked home from a Mexican place, a woman stopped me on Broadway near Wall Street and asked if I could walk her across the street. I saw her trying to get other peoples attention before I came near her but everybody else ignored her. I walked her across two streets and she was asking about bus stops but then decided to take the subway instead, so I had her leaning on my arm to the elevator to the Fulton Subway stop.
The first thing my husband said after I said goodbye to the old woman was “what is it with you helping people in this area? They just come to you”, because yes, this is not the first time.
I’m not sharing this story with you to brag about my good deeds. I want to tell you how good it felt to be in service to someone else. This innocent woman needed help and I happened to be the one that stopped and listen to her. She made my day. 

It’s so easy to be caught up in our own world and miss what’s around us. Stressed people who had just finished work and wanted to get home didn’t see or hear this woman. I don’t blame them. There are plenty of weirdos in this city who talks to you and a lot of times it’s just pure bulls*** and most of the time they only want your money. Or even worse, they pee on you (yes, that happened to me once). But some people are just asking for a little help. 

Hello from a sunny New York City! Hurricane Matthew did not really reach this far north, but we’ve still got some showers this weekend. It does not mind us at all actually. We have been busy every weekend since basically July so to just relax this three-day weekend is perfect. It would be more perfect if Windows 10 stopped updating itself. It’s been 7 hours (!!) now and I’ve got nothing done on my laptop. Annoying. But, I got some family time in the sun which is pretty awesome. 

Hi friends! How are you? I am doing great! There are over 2500 pictures from our Orlando trip (!!!) and more pictures from our trip to Sweden and also from when my parents were in New York and then in Chicago and there are pictures from DR in July too, so I have a lot to go through. I don’t wanna postpone organizing my pictures, cause then it will never get done, so I need to just do it now. Thor is just sleeping and sleeping now anyway (tired from his stay at the dog sitter), so I got plenty of time:) Have an awesome Friday!
