Good morning! How are you guys? My husband started his new job yesterday. Exciting! It’s a bit far away and I feel sorry for that he has to sit on trains for so long, but it’s only for now. So far it seems great and I’m happy for him.
Today is the big day here in the US. Election day. I’m curious how it will turn out. I just hope people don’t vote for Hillary because she’s a woman or vote for Trump because he’s not Clinton. Either way, I doubt it will be good. It’s all just a big joke. If I could vote, I would probably not vote for either one of them. 

God morgon! Hur mar ni? Min make borjade pa sitt nya jobb igar. Spannande! Det ligger en bra bit harifran och jag tycker synd om honom som maste sitta pa tag sa lange, men det ar bara for nu. An sa lange verkar det toppen och jag ar glad for hans skull.
Idag ar den stora dagen har i USA. Election day. Jag ar nyfiken pa hur det kommer att bli. Jag hoppas bara att folk inte rostar pa Hillary for att hon ar kvinna eller rostar pa Trump for att han inte ar Clinton. Oavsett, jag tvivlar pa att det blir bra. Det ar ett enda stort skamt. Om jag kunde rosta sa skulle jag formodligen inte rosta pa nagon av dem.

Ok, I didn’t update here much on vacation, even if I actually had some time when it was raining. But I will tell you all about this:)
We’re back in New York. It’s colder and some trees has lost their leaves, but I’m glad to be back anyway. Well, I wouldn’t say no to stay on a paradise island a little longer, but I missed my fluffy little baby so it’s good to be back home. 

Ok, jag uppdaterade inte har sa mycket under semestern, aven om jag faktiskt hade tid for det nar det regnade. Men jag kommer att beratta allt for er:)
Vi ar tillbaka i New York. Det ar kallare och nagra trad har tappad sina lov, men jag ar glad att vara tillbaka anda. Eller, jag skulle ju inte tacka nej till att stanna pa en paradis o lite langre, men jag saknade min fluffiga lilla bebis sa det ar skont att va hemma. 

Last year we made a last minute decision to dress up as a moose, a deer and a hunter. Thor was so cute in his little moose sweater. 
This year we made a last minute decision to go on vacation. So, an hour ago we left Thor with the dog sitter and tomorrow we will be at the beach by palmies and warm weather. The weather in NY went from summer to fall to winter in only three days this weekend. It’s really really cold in the city now so to go away and wear a bikini for a week is fantastic:)
I’m bringing my laptop so I will try to update you guys as much as I can. 

A few days ago I got mail from my dear grandmother. It was a magazine and a new special edition book cover of her book about my grandfather, “Uncle Erik”.

My grandfather started an organization 70 years ago that has helped many people in the world. He was very sick and growing up he spent a lot of time in hospitals and this is where his work began. He worked for something bigger than himself. The organization, now called Erikshjalpen, continued on after my grandfather passed away at age 37. They are still helping those in need. I am a very proud granddaughter of my grandparents who has given so much of their love to help others. I never met my grandfather, but I’ve seen the wonderful work that my grandmother have done and I couldn’t be more proud. 

They had a party this weekend to celebrate my grandfathers work. It’s of course too far for me to go to Sweden for one day, so instead I celebrated from a distance checking my cousins updates on instagram. I would have loved to spend time with my relatives and celebrate the work we all are very proud of. 

Min farfar startade en organisation for 70 ars sedan som har hjalpt manga manniskor i varlden. Han var valdigt sjuk och nar han vaxte upp spenderade han mycket tid pa sjukhus och det var dar hans arbete borjade. Han arbetade for nagot storre an honom sjalv. Organisationen, nu vid namn Erikshjalpen, fortsatte efter att min farfar gick bort vid 37 ars alder. De hjalper fortfarande de som behover. Jag ar ett valdigt stolt barnbarn till mina farforaldrar som har gett sa mycket av sin karlek till att hjalpa andra. Jag traffade aldrig min farfar, men jag har sett det underbara arbete som min farmor har gjort och jag ar mycket stolt.
De hade en fest for att fira min farfars arbete i helgen. Det ar forstas lite for langt for mig att aka till Sverige for en dag, sa istallet firade jag pa distans och kollade mina kusiners updates pa instagram. Jag skulle ha velat spendera tid med mina slaktingar och fira det arbete som vi alla ar stolta over. 

Earlier this week, I saw on Madonna’s instagram that she recommended a movie that would show at selected theaters in NY and LA this weekend. I thought it could be something different for me and my husband to do, so yesterday at noon we went to the Angelika Film Center on Houston St. Very cute place and it was a tiny and narrow movie room with rows of only 4 seats on each side and a smaller screen in the front. The movie, Moonlight, had a great and important story and good acting, but all scenes could have been shorter and they could have added something else to it. It was a bit dull too many times. Overall, I think it’s a good movie and I would recommend you to go see it, but watch it when you have a lot of energy.

Both my boys have been sleeping all day so far. It’s almost 2pm! I’m watching Planet Earth, listening to the renovation upstairs and getting things done on my computer. Not sure what the rest of the day will offer but since it’s kinda crappy weather today I don’t really care if we end up doing nothing.
