Home alone

Jim brought Thor to work today, so I’m having a day to myself. Woohoo! Now I can do whatever I want!

Not that it would be much different it’s just that I don’t have to worry about having to take T out. So this morning I have already got the house chores done. I emptied the dishwasher, filled it, handdished (yes, I made that word up), started a load of laundry, dusted all the surfaces, vacuumed the apartment and took a shower. I also walked to a deli nearby to get coffee, started second load of laundry and now I’m just hanging out with my computer on the couch. Such a lovely morning. I love when I get a lot done before 10am:) Tomorrow is Thanksgiving so it feels nice to have the apartment somewhat clean. I didn’t do an absolute super cleaning today, but it’s good enough.

I have a few things left to do on the Chicago video, but it will come up later today so check it out later. If you are a subscriber, then you should get a notification on when it’s up:)

Ok, back to alone time. Have an awesome Wednesday!!

****!

We are back in Stamford. I’ve been doing stuff inside all morning and now I took Thor out for his second walk of the day (J took the morning). Holy sh*t, it’s cold! Winter is here:( We have been dealing with the cold both in Minnesota and now in Chicago, but we weren’t outside that much so it was ok. But now, I think I was out for less than 15 minutes and I thought I was going to die. The temperature says 4°c (39°f) which hasn’t felt that cold before during the past two weeks, but today, o.m.g!! Brain freeze and my hands are blue. My entire life I’ve wondered how people voluntarily lives in cold places….and for some reason even likes it. I don’t understand it.

I’m still waiting and dreaming of living somewhere warmer. Living in Lisbon made me realize that I really wasn’t made for the cold, I was so happy there. It’s not healthy to feel like your life is ending every time you step outside your door. And my skin hates me right now. The changes between cold and warm, like being outside and then go in to a heated room, makes my skin in the face blossom up and it feels like it’s burning. The face gets all red. It’s crazy, it’s embarrassing and I look like I’m having an allergic reaction. Can you be allergic to cold weather?

I was in such a good mood today and now I just want to punch the cold air…I wish that was possible. Am I the only one feeling like this? Am I the only one being grumpy about it? Am I the only one who gets deeply depressed by the cold weather? There are lots of cold places on our planet and people still live there or they travel to it. To me, that’s weird. How about you? You like the cold?

Ok, now I’m going to stop being angry at the weather and be awesome instead. Ciao!

Another weekend away

Stamford yesterday, beautiful colors🍂🌿🍁

Tomorrow morning, we are planning on being out the door and on the road at 4:45 am. I better go to bed now!

We are going to Chicago for four days. The reason for this is that we found cheaper tickets this weekend instead of coming in Thanksgiving. Jim has a day off on Monday so it just fits us better to go this weekend. We have lots of plans as always. It will be a relaxed weekend but at many different places and with a lot of dif people.

We are once again leaving warmer temperatures for snow😫 J’s mom posted a picture of snow in their backyard this morning. Brrr! But we are not going to be outside much so its ok:)

Gonna miss this little fluff

Back to spring

Wow, the weather suddenly turned to nice and warm. 19°c degrees and sunny today! I even had to take my jacket off ♥
It’s supposed to be nice this weekend as well, but Jim and I are flying to Minnesota early tomorrow morning and that’s like Sweden…aka never warm 😛

I’m looking forward to go back to Minneapolis. Jim took me there back in December 2011. It was our first weekend away together, we were barely even labeled boyfriend and girlfriend then, haha. So, I barely remember and I don’t really have any pictures from then. It will be exciting to go back. Minnesota is where Jim went to college so a lot of his friends are there and he knows all the places in the city. We are going to a wedding brunch on Saturday so we’ll be a little busy but I’m hoping to get to see at least some stuff:)
