December 2nd
December 2, 2019

Hello December! I’m still confused, where did this year go? It feels like I just took the tree down and now it’s back up again. Huh?
We went to see our friends on Friday which was very nice, George is 4 months old now and too cute, my cheeks hurt from all the laughing and smiling with him and at him:) On Saturday I cleaned our apartment, did loads of laundry and prepped for the winter season. Yesterday I finished cleaning and then put all the Christmas stuff up. Last year I kinda went all-in with all the decorations, maybe because I was pregnant and overly excited about absolutely everything haha. This year I went with a very minimal decoration. The xmas tree got about 1/3 of the ornaments, I put the garland on the stairs but no lights, placed two sets of mini decor Santa families in the main room (because they mean a lot to me and reminds me of my childhood) and then I put Christmas towels in the kitchen, that’s it. I have boxes of stuff that I haven’t touched, I just don’t feel like it this year. I thought last year would be our last cold winter since we were going to have a baby and were looking to move, but now we have yet another year of frozen fingers and too many layers of clothes. So I guess in protest to the cold weather I’m not putting stuff up hahah.
I’m sure I will get more of a Christmas feeling the closer we get to the end of the year, that’s usually how it is. Still not gonna put more stuff up though, my number one sentence these days is “there’s too much clutter here” hahaha, so I keep getting rid of stuff. J kept asking me if I wanted anything during Black Friday, but nope, no more stuff please:)
The living space in this apartment is so weird, It drives me crazy every single day, especially when we have to put the xmas tree up. We tried probably 50 different placements of the couch and the tree yesterday before we decided to do exactly what we did last year, which I didn’t like then, but whatever, it’s only for 4 weeks anyway
Oh ya, I also created some festive candles yesterday. I like some DIY’s every year:)

After a week of hotel beds, vacation food and drinks, constant bloating and incredibly relaxed muscles, I start to feel like myself again hahah🤸🏼♀️ My mind and body decided to stay on vacation mood until today which felt amazing. So now I have energy to finish this year, to finish this decade. How crazy to think we’ve lived another decade😯
The video is from 6:30am our last morning on the island. It’s also from before I realized there were a ton of bugs around me (I’ve found 48 bug bites on my legs so far…oops🙈). I just love waking up early and see the sunrise,…preferably from a warm beach🥰🌴
coffee drenched desk
November 24, 2019

Eumh…where did November go? Started this month with the best news of the this year: my hcg level hit 0, followed by the absolute worst news of the year: the loss of our sweet nephew, and then we quickly had to figure out how to get to Cleveland for funeral and still be able to go on vacation, and now it’s Thanksgiving on Thursday and already December and first of Advent next week. This month disappeared so quickly I barely blinked. Actually, this whole year disappeared in what feels like one afternoon nap.
On Friday, when I was in the middle of editing photos/videos, I accidentally spilled an entire cup of coffee all over my desk, computer, railing, wall and carpet. As quickly as I could I ran into storage room to grab a tissue box and threw tissue papers on everything wet, saved what I was in the middle of, turned the computer off and unplugged everything. Luckily there was no coffee spilled on the electric socket or the actual computer under the desk, but the surge protector and all the cords were drenched and so was everything on top of the desk. I ran to kitchen to get actual paper towels and wet wipes and cleaned everything up, turned the surge protector upside down on top of paper to dry it out and scrubbed and scrubbed to get the coffee stains to a minimal. But damn, coffee stains are ugly and hard to get rid of. Once we move out they can paint over my mess, but unfortunately we are not moving anytime soon so I have to just look at my huge clumsiness. Oh well. I have tried to google how safe it is to use the power strip after you get liquid in it, but even if some sites says it might be fine, I really don’t want to risk it. So we have to go buy a new one later today. Better safe than sorry…or dead.
Using my laptop for now, Thor is sleeping next to me on top of the kitchen counter in his little bed, so cute. He’s extra snuggly these days and wants to be close to us. He was at a new sitter when we were gone. They have a puppy and what seemed like a two year old boy, I’m curious how that went but he seems fine. They even told us the two dogs had been napping together, aww, how cute.
