Record player

Igår fick vi hem en skivspelare som J hade beställt. Så underbart!! Ända sen jag flyttade till Stockholm år 2005 har jag saknat att ha en skivspelare i mitt hem. På mitt rum i Falkenberg hade jag en gammal skivspelare. Jag lånade pappas Michael Jackson och koreograferade i mitt rum. Jag hade en del egna skivor själv som jag bad pappa att ta hand om i julas som han nu inte kan hitta. Aja, vi får leta egna. Jim fick en ny LP av mig i födelsedagspresent, Led Zeppelin. Förra helgen när jag var borta köpte han på sig några till. Så otroligt roligt!

Vi har nu en skivspelare, men ingenstans att ställa den, hahaha. Verkligen genomtänkt det här. Men det löser vi, kanske redan idag.

Yesterday we got a record player that J had ordered. How awesome! Ever since I moved to Stockholm in 2005, I missed having a record player in my home. In my room in Falkenberg, I had an old record player. I borrowed my dad’s Michael Jackson and choreographed in my room. I had some records myself that I asked my dad to take care of last Christmas that he now can’t find. Oh well, we’ll find our own. Jim got a new LP from me as a birthday gift, Led Zeppelin. Last weekend when I was away, he bought a few more. So incredibly fun!
We now have a record player, but nowhere to put it, hahaha. Really thought this through. But we will solve it, maybe even today.

Our wedding photos

Våra bröllopsfoton kom på posten häromdagen. Så underbart att se det igen. Vi har ju inte haft några foton alls själva. Det är 1500 bilder som vi måste gå igenom så det tar ett litet tag och ni får ha tålamod (jag vet att många vill se och frågar mig hela tiden när det kommer bilder).

Our wedding photos came in the mail the other day. So wonderful to see it again. We haven’t had any photos at all ourselves. There are 1500 pictures that we have to go through so it takes a little while and you will have to be patient (I know that many people want to see and are asking me all the time when there will be pictures).

Capri

En av dagarna i Italien tog vi oss ner mot Salerno och tog båten därifrån längs kusten och besökte ön Capri. En sådan vacker kustväg! Det var molnigt denna dag vilket var rätt skönt ändå. Det regnade lite på oss en stund men annars var det en härlig dag.

När vi kom till ön promenerade vi upp. Svettigt och tungt, men upp till toppen kom vi och där kryllade det av turister och dyra märkesbutiker. Vi käkade lunch och fortsatte sedan vår utflykt där uppe. Tillslut tog vi det lilla bergståget ner till hamnen igen.
Höjdpunkten var när vi tog en tur på en mindre båt ihop med 10-12 personer. Åkte längs ön och kom fram till ett litet hål i berget. Massvis med båtar stod på kö och små båtar kom och plockade upp 3-5 personer som fick ta sig en tur inne i grottan. För att komma in fick vi ducka och väl inne fanns det vackraste blå vatten jag har sett.
Väl tillbaka vid hamnen igen gick vi och tog oss ett dopp i havet. Stenig strand och halkiga stenar i vattnet. Och väldigt mycket salt på kroppen efteråt. Inte lätt att bada där inte, men skönt att svalka sig.

Sen dags att ta båten tillbaka till Salerno. Vi spenderade kvällen med att kolla på den vackra fullmånen.

One of the days in Italy, we drove down to Salerno and took the boat from there along the coast and visited the island of Capri. Such a beautiful coast! It was cloudy that day, which was quite nice though. It rained a little on us for a while but other than that it was a lovely day.
When we got to the island, we walked up. Sweaty and heavy, but we came up to the top and it was filled with tourists and expensive designer stores. We had lunch and then continued our journey up there. Eventually we took the little mountain train to the harbor again.
The highlight was when we took a trip on a smaller boat together with 10-12 people. Went along the island and came to a small hole in the mountain. Lots of boats waited in line and small boats came and picked up 3-5 people who got to get a tour inside the cave. To get in we had to duck and once inside there were the most beautiful blue water I’ve seen.
Once back at the harbor, we went and took a swim in the sea. Rocky beach and slippery rocks in the water. And a lot of salt on the body afterwards. Not easy to swim there, but nice to cool off.
Then time to take the boat back to Salerno. We spent the evening to look at the beautiful full moon.

Kaatsbaan

Har varit upptagen i helgen. Vi åkte norrut och spenderade lördag och söndag med tre fantastiska ridtjejer från Bard College. Vi har ett samarbete med dem, vi sätter ihop ett performance till den 13 September. Föreställningen är en del av David Lichman’s North America Tour.

Det var JoAnna, jag och dansaren Lilja från Island som precis gått ut Juilliard. På lördag eftermiddag spenderade vi ett par timmar i en gigantisk dansstudio på Kaatsbaan. Detta område som dansstudion ligger på är enormt. I en del av området fanns där ett hus med rum, som ett motell man ser på filmer:) Där stannade vi över natten. Väldigt fräsch och härligt. Vi var helt ensamma där ute i ingenstans. Det regnade och åskade på kvällen det var helt kolsvart och vi fick använda mobil-ficklampa för att ens hitta dörren in till vårat rum, hahha.

Vi kom långt i processen och fick t.o.m provat alla tre delar av föreställningen. En tjej ramlade av hästen vilket var ett lite läskigt tillfälle. Hon verkade må bra och hoppade upp på hästen direkt och körde en stund till. Jag och Lilja hade så roligt med våra kjolar och carrot-sticks.

I have been busy this weekend. We drove north and spent Saturday and Sunday with three amazing riders from Bard College. We have a collaboration with them, we are putting together a performance for September 13. The show is part of the David Lichman’s North America Tour.
It was JoAnna, I and the dancer Lilja from Iceland who just graduated from Juilliard. On Saturday afternoon we spent a few hours in a gigantic dance studio at Kaatsbaan. This area  where the dance studio is located on is huge. In one part of the area, there was a house with rooms, like a motel you see in movies:) We stayed there overnight. Very fresh and nice. We were all alone out there in nowhere. It rained and thundered in the evening and it was completely pitch black and we had to use mobile flashlight to even find the door to our room, hahha.
We came a long way in the process and got to even try all three parts of the show. A girl fell off the horse, which was a bit scary. She seemed fine and jumped up on the horse right away and kept going for a while. Me and Lilja had so much fun with our skirts and carrot-sticks.
