Tiny sign of spring

Idag tanker jag paskpynta lite for att locka fram varen. I min familj slutade vi att pynta infor pasken for langesen, men eftersom jag hade en paskbrunch forra aret har jag nu lite pynt som kan fa aka upp i nagra dagar. 
Jag ar svensk och som svensk tjatar man garna om vadret. Och hur ar vadret har i New York? Kallt! Jag ar otroligt trott pa att frysa nu. Det ska bli varmare pa fredag, sen ar vi tillbaka till kylan igen. Det ar forsta April idag och det finns inte mycket knoppar pa traden. Vintern vill verkligen inte ta slut. Vart ar bikini vadret undrar jag? Kara paskpynt, hjalp mig att ta fram varen nu!

Today I will decorate a little for Easter to lure the spring to come. In my family we stopped decorating for Easter a long time ago, but since I had an easter brunch last year I now have some decorations to take out for a few days.
I’m Swedish and as a swede you talk a lot about the weather. And how is the weather here in New York? Cold! I’m incredibly tired of being cold now. It will be warmer on Friday, then we are back to the cold again. It is April 1st today and there is not many buds on the trees. The winter really doesn’t wanna end. Where is the bikini weather, I wonder? Dear Easter decoration, help me to bring the spring now!

Green drink and nuts for lunch today

Idag ville jag prova en ny drink till lunch. Jag laste tva recept dar den ena hade coconut milk och den andra hade coconut water. Eftersom jag hade coconut milk hemma valde jag att gora den. Men jag laste bada samtidigt och rakade visst blanda ihop det lite, hahah. Men det funkade och det blev ok. Lite tjock och valdigt maffig sa jag orkade inte hela. Jag far helt enkelt prova att gora en ny nagon annan gang. Men jag tankte att jag skulle dela den har med er iaf. Om ni provar den och kanske gor nagra forandringar, snalla dela med er till mig.

Today I wanted to try a new drink for lunch. I read two recipes where one had coconut milk and the other one had coconut water. Since I had coconut milk at home I chose to do that one. But I read both at the same time and accidentally mix them up a little, hahah. But it worked and it was ok. A little thick and very heavy so I couldn’t finish it all. I just simply have to make a new one some other time. But I thought I would share it with you guys here anyway. If you try it and maybe makes some changes to it, please share it with me.

What I ended up putting in my drink:
1 cup coconut milk, 1 handful baby spinach, 1 avocado, little bit of honey and water

Snon ar borta och varen ar pavag, sa nu kommer alla ut igen och dog park ar perfekt for hundar att socialize. Vi gick till dog park for sma hundar i sondags och det var fullt med sma sota vovvisar, manga yngre an Thor vilket aldrig hander (T ar 11 manader imorgon). Under eftermiddagen igar tog jag med Thor pa promenad och jag sag att den stora parken var full med hundar, sa sjalvklart tog jag med mig lillen dit. Jag orkar inte alltid vara social med andra agare, men det ar viktigt att Thor far vara med andra hundar och det ar sa roligt att se hur han forsoker fa uppmarksamhet fran de storre hundarna och hur mycket han forsoker vara alpha over hundar i samma storlek. Han fick springa av sig och nar vi kom in igen somnade han nastan direkt.

The snow is gone and the spring is on its way, so now everybody is coming out again and the dog park is perfect for dogs to socialize. We went to the dog park for small dogs on Sunday and it was filled with small cute puppies, many younger than Thor which never happens (T is 11 months old tomorrow). In the afternoon yesterday I took Thor out for a walk and I saw that the big park was full of dogs, so of course I took the little one there. I don’t always feel like being social with other owners, but it’s important that Thor can be with other dogs and it is so fun to see how he is trying to get attention from the bigger dogs and how much he is trying to be the alpha over dogs in the same size. He got to run around and when we came back in again he fell asleep almost directly. 

Igar kopte jag lite spontant en yoga matta. Jag har faktiskt letat ett bra tag efter en yoga matta som inte har en massa text eller blommor och annat pa. En yoga matta ar inte ett konstverk man har pa vaggen, sa jag forstar inte riktigt varfor alla mattor ska ha en massa saker malade pa dem. Sen har jag aven haft svart for att valja vilken farg jag vill ha. Svart och brun kanns dystert, rosa, gul och ljusgron kanns for piffigt, morkbla och lila tar mig tillbaka till tiden pa DNA, sa igar nar vi var och shoppade sag jag en baby blue matta som kandes helt ratt for mig. Jag googlade faktiskt for ett tag sen vilken matta som rekommenderas och kom fram till att det ar nog verkligen upp till var och en. Hittade bl.a den HAR sidan. 
Vi har mattor nere pa gymmet, men det ar skont att ha en har hemma ocksa. Tillsammans med block och filt kan jag nu fa en riktigt harlig yoga stund hemma.
Har ni en yoga matta hemma? Vilken farg ar den da? Beratta, jag ar nyfiken! 

Yesterday I spontaneously bought a yoga mat. I have actually been looking for a yoga mat for a while, one that doesn’t have a lot of writing or flowers or stuff on it. A yoga mat is not a piece of art that you put on the wall, so I don’t really understand why all the mats has things painted on them. I have also had a hard time to decide what color I want. Black and brown seems sad, pink, yellow and bright green seems too lively, dark blue and purple takes me back to my time at DNA, so yesterday when we were shopping I saw a baby blue mat that felt totally right for me. I actually googled a while ago what color of mat that is recommended and came up with that it probably is up to each person. Found among other sites THIS page.
We have mats down at the gym, but it’s nice to have one here at home too. Together with blocks and blanket I can now have a nice yoga time at home.
