IMAG6024_3

Just got back home from a veterinary check up. Thor loves to go to the vet. When we are out for a walk and we walk by, he drags the leash and stands outside the door. He is so well taken care of there and he always gets treats so of course he loves going there. Today we had another check up for his ear that is now much much better, but we need to continue with the ear drops and come back in two weeks. Everything else is good with him, so that’s nice to know.

The Best Way to Listen to Music

recordplayer-madonna recordplayer-2

Sitter i baren har hemma och precis startat datorn for forsta gangen idag. Lyssnar pa Madonna’s Like a Virgin album pa skivspelaren och dricker herbal tea.

I’m sitting in the bar here at home and I just started the computer for the first time today. Listening to Madonna’s Like a Virgin album on the record player while drinking herbal tea. In a little bit, I will sit down on the couch to relax and read a RollingStone magazine that I bought like a month ago but never read.
We bought a record player 1,5 years ago. Unnecessary to buy maybe some of you think since all music is available online and you usually have all music on both your computer and on the phone. But, there is something special to choose a record on the shelf, put it on the player and gently let the needle touch the record that soon makes music in the speakers. It doesn’t give the same sound. It feels more real.
In 2014, vinyl records made the biggest music comeback. 9.2 million old records sold. Isn’t that cool? Cellphones that earlier got smaller and smaller is today getting bigger and bigger and old vinyl records is popular again, what is happening?

Gentle Yoga Poses

Lara Benusis is a teacher that I took class for at DNA. She taught restorative yoga. Many took that class mostly because you could relax and even fall asleep on her classes, which could be nice if you had taken four classes before that. But, she is a fantastic teacher, a wonderful person with incredible knowledge and I have learned a lot from her classes.
Awhile ago I tried to find out if she is still teaching classes that I can take. She works a lot on hospitals and I found a video with her that I think is worth sharing with you.

“Yoga instructor Lara Benusis of Memorial Sloan Kettering’s Integrative Medicine Service explains that yoga is a series of poses designed to strengthen and lengthen muscles, which can become weak or tight as you recover in the hospital or at home. She demonstrates a modified yoga sequence and breathing techniques that you can perform in a hospital bed or in a chair.”

Orange morning

morning-writing tulips-closeup

I’m sitting in the living room writing. There is so much light here in the morning plus the tulips gives a good color splash to the eye to start the day in a good way. Thor is under the couch sleeping (little weirdo).
We had a great weekend. Last night we watched the movie Moneyball. I sat and thought to myself that the year 2011 when the movie came out, I had barely any knowledge of baseball. Almost exactly four years ago, I met Jim and his friends at a bar. Two months later I got to go with J on my very first baseball game and I instantly got interested. I have now throughout the years asked J a billion questions about how baseball works, so to watch the movie Moneyball didn’t feel totally strange to me. I might not have thought that the movie was that good four years ago.
