I helgen kopte jag kaffe pa ett litet stalle har i narheten. Jag maste prova deras bryggkaffe forst, men jag tror att detta kan bli ett nytt favorit stalle. Det ar svart att hitta bra kaffe har och speciellt att hitta stallen dar de gor riktigt bra latte. Att bara varma mjolk och halla over espresso, det kallar inte jag en latte och det ar tyvarr sa de flesta stallen har gor dem.

This weekend I bought coffee from a small place nearby. I have to try their brewed coffee first, but I think this can be a new favorite place. It is hard to find good coffee here, especially to find place that makes really good latte. To only heat up milk and pour it over espresso, I don’t call that a latte and unfortunately that is how most places here makes them.

Igar akte jag upp till Midtown och at middag pa Blockheads med mannen. Pavag hem gick vi forbi en butik som har en “Scandinavian” hylla (mest tyska och finska grejer dock, konstigt nog). Nar vi bodde dar gick jag dit ibland och kopte saltlakrits fiskar eller Kalles kaviar. Nu hade de nastan bara tyska chokladkex, wafers och annat med tysk choklad, ingen lakrits (antar att folk inte koper det, forutom jag da, haha). Men, de hade NonStop!! Det tog mig genast tillbaka till fodelsedags kalas nar man var liten. Vilken lycka! Andra kanske inte tycker att det ar sa speciellt, men jag blir sa glad nar jag hittar saker som jag annars bara ater i Sverige 🙂

Yesterday I went up to Midtown and had dinner at Blockheads with my man. On the way home we walked by a store that has a “Scandinavian” shelf (mostly German and Finish stuff though, weirdly enough). When we lived there I went there sometimes and bought salty licorice fish and Kalles caviar. Now they basically only had German chocolate crackers, wafers and other things with German chocolate, no licorice (I guess noone ever buys it, except for me then, haha). But, they had NonStop!! It instantly took me back to birthday parties when I was little. Pure happiness! Others might not think its so special, but I get so happy when I find stuff that I normally just eat in Sweden 🙂

Jag startar dagen med havregryns grot med jordgubbar och hallon, mmm! Min kropp ar nu redo. Jag kanner mig fit for fight idag, det ska jag verkligen ta vara pa. Min hjarna har en miljon tankar och ideer och det vore skont att ta tag i dem. Och sen ar det helg! Jag alskar att umgas med min man sa jag ser verkligen fram emot helgerna.
Nu ska jag ga ner till gymmet. Ha en underbar dag och trevlig helg!

I start the day with oatmeal with strawberries and raspberries, mmm! My body now feels ready. I feel fit for fight today, I will really take advantage of that. My brain has a million thoughts and ideas and it would be great to take care of them. And then it’s weekend! I love to spend time with my man so I look forward to the weekends.

First time that I’ve seen women on a foosball table

Ikvall har vi varit pa ett launch party pa Standard Biergarten. Det ar roligt att folja med Jim pa olika event, for vem sager nej till gratis mat och dricka, haha. Men annars var det inte sa speciellt. Alla gubbar ser exakt likadana ut och jag tror att jag har traffat dem allihop forut, vilket jag inte har, och fruarna ser lite smatt stela ut. Vi hade en trevlig kvall och jag gillar stallet, jag har varit dar flera ganger forut. Nu blir det mys med lillen innan laggdags. God natt!

Tonight we’ve been to a launch party at Standard Biergarten. It’s fun to join Jim on different events, cause who says no to free food and drinks, haha. But other than that it wasn’t so special. All the men looks exactly the same and I think I have met them all before, which I have not, and the wives looks a bit stiff. We had a nice evening and I like the place, I have been there several times before. Now it’s cozy time with the little one before bedtime. Good night!

I sondags akte Jim och jag till Brooklyn och New York Transit Museum. Entren ar en subway station och man gar ner under marken och en vaning langre ner har de gamla tunnelbanevagnar pa en fullt fungerande station. Jag har under manga manga ar tyckt att det ar nagot speciellt med tunnlar och framfor allt tunnelbanor, men jag tror nog att det ar upplevelsen av tunnelbana som ar det intressanta. 
Museet ar inte sa stort och ar uppdelat med tunnelbana, buss och tag historia. Buss och tag intresserar mig inte sa mycket sa vi gick snabbt forbi. Kul att se gamla bilder pa bygget av New York’s tunnelbana och riktigt roligt att se gamla vagnar och reklamen de hade inne tagen. Jag forvantade mig storys och foton fran personer eller handelser, men museet bjod mer pa sjalva historian om bygget och hur det fungerar, vilket makes sense. Kul att ha besokt det iaf och riktigt bra ide att faktiskt ha det under marken i en tunnelbanestation. 

On Sunday, Jim and I went to Brooklyn and New York Transit Museum. The entrance is a subway station and you walk down under ground and another floor down they have old subway cars on a fully functional station. I have for many many years thought that there is something special with tunnels and especially subways, but I think it is the experience of the subway that is the interesting.
The museum isn’t very big and it is divided with subway, bus and train history. Bus and train isn’t very interesting to me so we walked passed it kinda quickly. Fun to see old pictures of building the New York subway and really fun to see old subway cars and the commercial they had inside the trains. I expected stories and photos from people or happenings, but the museum offered more about the actual history of building and how a subway works, which makes sense. Fun to have visit it anyway and a good idea to actually have it under ground in a subway station.
