Last weekend we visited One World Trade Center Observatory. Warm day with bright sun, perfect view. We bought tickets online, got a time to come there and that time is when they actually let you in which I’m happy about. Inside the building you have to, of course, stand in line for a while, but the wait invites you to video clips from building wtc, designed hallways under the building, 60 sec elevator ride with exciting film of how NYC has changed over time, a movie about NYC and One World and then the door opens to 3 floors of beautiful view, a restaurant, a bar and tourist shopping. After we had enjoyed the view for a while we went to the bar and sat there for some hours before we had to go home to the puppy.
I’m glad that I went there and I will definitely visit it again if someone comes visit us in NY. I didn’t run around like crazy to take photos, I preferred to  just experience to be inside this building that stands for so much for America. I had two photos I wanted to take, one was on the fountains, but I forgot that, haha, I guess I was more interested in see our apartment from up above (that is on the same side) or something.

Forra helgen besokte vi One World Trade Center Observatory.

We had a really nice weekend in Washington DC. Since we have been there before we didn’t need to stress with tourism. It is very nice to go to a place and where you don’t have to look at your watch or be stressed about that you don’t have time to do everything.
On Saturday afternoon we met up with Mike, Brook and their parents at a cute flea market and in the evening we went to M and B apartment and watch basketball, ate good cheese and homemade pizza. Super relaxed and nice. We went home early on Sunday so that we could get Thor and snuggle with him for the rest of the night.

In Washington DC

Men, men….

We decided to take the bus down to Washington DC this time. It takes about the same time like the train and it has free wi-fi. The train costs almost more than flying, so it was simply just better to take the bus for $30 (instead of like $250). It takes about 4,5 hours to get here, which can be worth it for you who are going to NY on vacation and at the same time wants to go down to DC for one day. Leave early in the morning and home late at night. But, you have to count on that things can happen, things like a flat tire. We were standing for almost an hour at a gas station and waited for that service would come and for them to change the tire. Oh well….
Last night we were at an engagement party for Mike and Brook. A lot of people in a small space, but it was nice. Fun to see people we haven’t seen for a while and meet new interesting people.
Now we are at the hotel. We had brunch in the city and walked around tourist places. Lovely weather here today. Since my hubby is napping now I think I will go down and get a coffee and sit in the sun for a little bit.

10 hours

angelina-jolie-maleficent-2014Sag filmen Maleficent pa flyget och jag onskar att jag hade sett den pa bio. Bra film. Vackra farger.
Saw the movie Maleficent on the plane and I wish I had seen it in theaters. Great movie. Beautiful colors.

Traveling between New York and Copenhagen takes about 7 hours. My trip there on Wednesday took 6 hours and 15 minutes (wohoo) but yesterday it took 9,5 hours to fly over the Atlantic. We also had to sit inside the plane for a while before we could get off. Everything else during the day went very smoothly. Usually it takes forever to get through the passport control in NY and I have been sitting in their interview room twice for some hour (because of papers being wrong from DNA). Yesterday I was number two in line for us who has greencard. You scan your card in the machine, details pups up on the screen, you get a receipt and you go to the passport control. There I had one person in front of me, came to a nice man that put STAMPS on my reciept, I went to get my bag that was one of the first ones and soon I sat in the taxi. I was greeted by a kissing puppy and a tired husband.
