On Friday night, after Jim came home from work, we took an uber to the Half Full Brewery. It’s only a few minutes away and uber here is super cheap. Unfortunately they don’t have brewery tours on weekdays so we will have to go back a different time. But we got to try all their beers there. We bought a few full size glasses and then a few samples (I didn’t actually like any of the samples, J chose weird peach and pee smelling beer samples).
Outside the brewery there was a truck selling food from Puerto Rico. Omg, this was awesome! We bought a rice and pork dish with plantain, a mixed meat sandwich and beef empanadas and brought it in to the brewery to enjoy with all the beer we tried.
It’s a pretty small brewery but it’s fun to visit no matter the size. I like their IPA’s but I’m not so impressed by the other beers they have. Would be fun to see the actual brewery though. It will be another weekend adventure:)

I know, it’s been over a week since I last posted anything here. So much for putting more focus on the blog like I wrote in June, haha. Sorry. I just haven’t felt like sitting by my computer updating you guys about random stuff I do.

On Saturday, we went to see a film at the Avon Theater here in Stamford. A documentary, Restless Creature, about Wendy Whelan. She was a principal ballerina with the New York City Ballet for 30 years. The film is about when she had found herself injured in the hip and had to do a surgery. She has been dancing her whole life and had been very lucky to never have any bigger problems with her body before. She is a strong and beautiful dancer. After the surgery she eventually made a decision that she wanted to retire from NYC Ballet, after her 30 years in the company and she did a farewell performance. She was also working on some contemporary works with four male choreographers and together created the Restless Creature performance.
