In two days will my honey and I sit by a palm tree enjoying the heat! Really looking forward to it! I love palm trees, so it doesn’t really matter how the weather is because I will be busy looking at these beautiful trees, hahah.

Many people have asked me for pictures from the city Vietri Sul Mare and the small village Raito that we lived in when we were on our honeymoon in Italy in August. I have not posted any pictures from it, I just realized. So here is a few selected photos. The pictures makes me even more excited for Saturday!

Forsta dagen tog vi oss an Stockholms slott.

You got to read this post about the dance we did in Helsingborg. David also did a couple of videos in Stockholm when he, Carlye and me went there for two days this summer. First day we went to Stockholm Royal Palace. In the middle of the filmclip it started to rain. Very cool when everyone disappears from the site and left is just us dancing:)

DaveyDanceBlog Helsingborg

Today we started our rehearsals again. Until March, we will work with mathematical problems that we transform to body- and choreography problems. Today was about tessellations. Biggest question we had was how we can shape something with no weight and 2D? What are the rules we set for ourselves and this problem solving?
We have a dancer who works at MoMath who will be involved in this project and a guy from the Alvin Ailey School, both of them were there today with me and the choreographer. The project will consist three of us in the company and a dancer that also graduated from Juilliard. It will be very exciting to see how our performance in March will turn out.

Valdigt coolt projekt! David har akt over hela varlden och spelat in dessa filmer. Hur kul som helst!

This summer the company went to Helsingborg during one of the days off between the performances. Then, we made one of David’s (the cameraman and the creator of the movie Hastdans pa Hovdala) “DaveyDanceBlog”. The rule is that everybody have their ipod/mp3 player and headphones. One chance, one shot, one dance. All music starts at the same time and the dance begins. Noone else can hear so what they see are people dancing around to the same rytm. Very cool project! David has gone all over the world and recorded these videos. So much fun!

Root beer float

IMG_7469_2 IMG_7474_2

Sockerbomb, javisst, men gott.

English: Last night we watched the movie Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. I don’t like movies with werid troubles that would never happen in real life, but Robert Downey Jr. is such funny actor. Now I have a few new quotes from that movie, hahah.
With this we had some extra coziness with a Root Beer Float. Sugarbomb, yes, but tasty. A root beer float is really just a soda with ice cream, and in this case the soda was root beer, which tastes somewhat like christmas-/easter”must” (it’s a soda we like in Sweden). Very interesting. We had regular ice cream which my dear lactose stomach didn’t superlike, but it is hard to find lactose-free options here (+ that J does not like it). It would be interesting to test a lot of different varieties of both the bubble-drink and various options of ice cream. What do you think about sorbet? Certainly not at all the same because you want it creamy in your drink.
