Post fran Sverige funkar bra

Markligt. Men bra.
Har ingen koll for valet i September heller.

Today is warm outside. It looks like it will rain soon, so I will take care of stuff on my computer. We are maybe going away for the weekend, so I want things done.
I got my tax-papers from Sweden yesterday. For about 6 years I’ve had huge problems. But now, when I have my address in an other country, everything works perfectly. Strange. But good.
I also got papers for the EU-parliament election. I have no idea what to vote for. And no idea what to vote for in Sweden in September either. I have to read about it before I have to send it in.
To sum it up for today: moving to an other country has been positive so far when it comes to papers and stuff. I have stuff to learn about living here now instead though, but I will.

I also want to update you about the Freedom Tower/One World Trade Center. They are bit by bit taking down the scaffolding they have on the side of the building. Hopefully that means that they soon are done.

Lakritskaffe

IMG_8669_2

Bl.a sa hade de fatt in kaffe med lakritssmak.

Last time I was in Sweden (in August) I went together with Carlye and David to Stockholm for 1,5 days. Of course, I spent some time at Lakritsroten (heaven on earth within licorice) and bought a lot of nice things. Among others, they had just got a coffee with liquorice flavor. When I was there, the barista that had sold this coffee to the shop was there too. Turned out that he was working at the company that I worked for before I moved to New York.
The coffee has been standing in the cabinet since then. As the barista I am, I don’t like when ground coffee is standing for too long. It loses flavor and of course it isn’t as fresh.
Now, I took the coffee out and I’m having it with my breakfast. Just like the barista I spoke to in the store said, licorice flavor comes as an after-taste. It smells like licorice in our whole apartment now and unfortunately I must say that the smell is nicer than the taste. Maybe it’s because the coffee has been standing for so long and then lost it’s taste, I don’t know. A little disappointed, but it’s perfectly ok coffee anyway.
Those of you who have followed my site a longer time may know that I’m both a coffee- and licoricelover. I like good quality. It was really interesting to study to become a barista. Even if it was a short course before my future job, it gave me incredibly much. It would have been fun to go a licorice-course too 🙂

6 months <3

Fanny and James Wedding in Raito 1 (44)_2Fanny and James Wedding in Raito 1 (103)_2Fanny and James Wedding in Raito 1 (158)Idag ar det 6 manader sedan brollops ceremonin i Italien.

Best wedding dinner ever!

Today is 6 months since the wedding ceremony in Italy. To stand there with the man i love more than anything else and promise him love for life was absolutely wonderful.
We were looking for a place with views over both mountains and water, but it was not easy. Finally, we chose the roof of our hotel. We sneaked up there along with the celebrant, photographer and a witness. Absolutely perfect. Mountains, water, and no ugly wedding stuff like the rest of the hotel had.
Our ceremony was 7 minutes long, hahahh. Afterwards, we had two hours with our photographer. We wanted photos from the small non-English-speaking village were our hotel was in and according to the photographer (who has photographed many weddings on the hotel) said that never before that someone wanted photos up there. We got many congratulations (in Italian) from the villagers.
When we had said good bye, we went up to our hotel room where the hotel had arranged champagne and snacks, really cute! And what was the first thing we did? We changed into swimsuits and sat on the balcony. It was around noon and the sun was super hot. Very romantic 🙂
Soon came to be luggage and we spent the rest of the day in the sun and later ate our wedding dinner on a restaurant in the mountains where we were pointing on the menu and hoped that we got something good to eat (we went there more times after that..they had the absolute best food I have ever eaten !) For the main course we had delicious pizza. Best wedding dinner ever!

We got the wedding we wanted. Simple, just the two of us and absolute perfect!

Time difference reveals the gold

9, va? Sa vi ser det ju inte live. Trakigt att fa veta innan.

Nu har jag mordat mina magmuskler, triceps, biceps och “hangt over” mina ben a la Klein ett bra tag. Kanns skont efter dagens fika 😀

We have just seen the women’s cross-county on tv. I haven’t followed the Olympics this year, I actually never follow the winter Olympics (sports in snow are boring, they should ski in the desert instead), but today we had the tv on in the background for our afternoon ‘fika’. However, the whole facebook had already revealed all the exciting news (thanks for that) but it was fun anyway to see someone with so much competitive spirit for taking home the gold for Sweden.
I will probably not follow much more of the Olympics. It will most likely be some more hockey, since I have an interested husband (who today bought another hockey jersey to the collection). In the future if I wanna watch the Olympics I will not log on to facebook/check Swedish news sites. We have a 6 hour time difference to Sweden, and what is it to Sochi, Russia? 9, right? So we don’t watch it live. Boring to know before.
Now I have murdered my abs, triceps, biceps and “hung over” my legs a la Klein for a while. Felt really great after today’s ‘fika’ 😀
