20 WEEKS

December 10, 2020

Half baked today.
Entered week 20 today (or, in my country I guess it counts as week 21, it’s confusing). 140 days in and around 140 days left to go.
Last night I felt the baby kick, iiihh 😀 I felt clear movements, like waves, a few days before Thanksgiving but other than that I haven’t felt much. Since I have an anterior placenta I didn’t expect to feel anything until much later but last night she/he seemed very active, even Jim said he felt it♥

And how do I feel? Well, I feel great! Haven’t been sleeping that well this week though so I’m a tiny bit more tired than usual, but overall I still have a lot of energy and I just keep going and going:) Since the second trimester started I’ve been really congested, especially at night, which is a common pregnancy symptom, but as long as I have the humidifier on all night I can usually sleep through the whole night.
Woke up with a cold sore on my mouth today which sucks (and hurts). I usually get on my right nostril but now for some reason I got it on my lower lip. Luckily I read that it shouldn’t have any impact on the growing baby. Hormones are going crazy during pregnancy so it’s common to get cold sores, I expected it.
We are not finding out the gender of our baby so it will be 9 months of guessing:) << you are welcome to guess in the comments🙂 >> During the whole first trimester I had a strong feeling it’s a girl (could however be based on that this pregnancy was very similar to the last one which we know was a girl). But the day of our 13 week scan I woke up with strong boy feelings and Jim even said after the visit that he thinks it’s a boy. Since then I’ve had boy feelings. From time to time I get a sense of girl, like last night when it was kicking, but today I’m back to think boy. Hahaha. We won’t know until it’s here. But we know for sure that it is either a boy or a girl 😀

19 week ultrasound

December 5, 2020

I got to see our baby yesterday🥰

Hubby was not welcome to come and you’re not allowed to film so he missed out on all the fascinating stuff I saw on the screen. But oh well.
Babys measures were perfect and my body looks great. The doctor did however tell me and show me in the end something they had found on the baby. She told me I shouldn’t be scared of the information and we should not go home and google or worry about it since all other tests and scans has been perfect and I’m considered a low risk. But after the journey we’ve had to get here, how could we not, right?
But hubby and I have decided to stay positive and hopeful that everything will be ok and we’ll have a healthy baby this spring💕🙏🏻
I only got to see baby in 3D for a few seconds and she/he had hands covering the face for most of it, but from what I can tell it’s a little cutie in there😍 I can’t wait for the day when we get to meet our “Lilliput”💗
