Gym in the building

gym_16dec2013A very big sweater on me, but it’s my absolute favorite (it’s actually Jim’s, hahah)

English: I’m going down to the gym several times a week. So handy to have a gym in the building. And in the middle of the day there is noone there either which is always nice. Today is Monday and we usually have rehearsal, but there will be no more rehearsals in the studio this year. So instead, I spent that time at the gym. Treadmill, weights, pilates exercises for stomach and back and stretch at the end.
I have written before that I have made a choice not to take dance classes for a while. Maybe that’s stupid but I felt that after 20 years of dancing it would be nice not to take dance classes for a while. Am I tired of dancing? No! Absolutely not! It’s still the best thing ever. But I have pain in my knees since several years and I felt for a little break. Completely away from the dance, I’m not of course. We have rehearsals every week and I dedicate several hours a day thinking of dance. Can confess that it itches in my body. To get to a studio and sweat like a pig and just fly around over the floor, that’s wonderful!

English: It was so nice to spend time with Jim last night. I cooked a tasty and simple pasta and salmon dish and then we just sat and talked all evening.
We have really strange weather here in New York. Yesterday was sunny with blue sky, today we woke up in a white city and the snow continues to fall throughout the day. We went to a diner on Rector Street earlier and now we’re a little tired and doing our own stuff. I’m watching a Swedish program on svt play and J plays some new game on his computer. It’s very nice with days when you don’t need to do anything special:)

Men gott blev det iaf utan det grona till / Went to the store before I cooked to buy vegetables, but the store here next to us really doesn’t have any good food. Cucumbers and lettuce that felt like sponges, not so nice. But it tasted good anyways without the green

Mysfredag!

English: It’s Lucia today (what do you think about my photoshopped Lucia picture? hahaha). It’s not really celebrated here and it’s neither dark nor snow on the streest. But I’ve promised Jim that he’ll get some singing when he comes home, hahah. Today I’m living in the time when I became the Lucia for my school…in fifth grade, hahah. So incredibly long time ago! My singing will probably not be quite the same as then. Can only hope that I sing better than then. Doesn’t really matter though, Jim doesn’t understand Swedish anyway. For him it’s just like “blah blah blah bork bork bork”. Hahahhahahha!
I have taken some salmon out of the freezer and we’ll see what exciting things I will make for dinner tonight. I’m really looking forward to have my beloved husband at home tonight. Cozy Friday!
