English: Yesterday we were the movies and saw The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. I think it was better than the first movie, but I gotta say that it made me a little disappointed.
I know the story from listening on the audio book and I know that when you read a book first and see the movie later you can always be disappointed just because you have a different image of the characters or the surroundings. For example, that the female elf does not even exist in the book, it’s just a fictional character for the movie, that the story change of course. But I had high hopes for the movies. Lord of the Rings was incredibly good films and I was hoping that Hobbit would lie on the same level, but no, not at all unfortunately. Jim did’t read the book or knows the story, didn’t think that the movie was good either. Also, they have filmed so much that probably should make the 3D version very good, and that unfortunately doesn’t work so good when you see the regular version (we are not big fans of 3D so therefore we went on the regular).
If I’m going say anything that was good about the movie, then I actually think that they have made the dragon Smaug very good. Very believable character. Jim thought it was strange that the dragon spoke, but he does in the book too, so I liked it. After watching the tv-show Sherlock, I very much like the actor who plays Bilbo Baggins.

Today, 28 December, is 3 years since I came to New York! Wow, three years!! It doesn’t feel so long, but if I think of everything I’ve done and been through since then, my whole life has changed enormously.
I found love! I have left Sweden and married the man I want to live the rest of my life together with. I’ve got a Green Card that lets me and Jim be together. I have got a new wonderful family ere in the U.S. I got the title choreographer and through that course I got a job as a dancer in a dance company that is part dancing with horses, a huge animal that did’t have any experience of before. I have separated from old friends and found new. I have left all the negative I carried around in Sweden and because of Jim got a positive and happy daily life. I have moved six times and the apartment we now live in is so wonderful that I will not move in a few years. I live in one of the world’s largest cities and in the city that has a lot of art and dance possibilities. I have changed my main language to English and forgetting more and more words in Swedish. I have got the worlds most beautiful diamond rings on my finger that reminds me that I have someone who loves me. I now live a dream life. I have changed my name.
Thank you New York for everything you’ve given me so far!
