Cool ide.
There is a new type of ATM on Upper East Side. A Cupcake ATM. The line was way too long for to try one, so I don’t know if they are any good. I read about it on some newssite a while ago and yesterday we accidentally walk by it. Cool idea.
Bl.a sa hade de fatt in kaffe med lakritssmak.
Last time I was in Sweden (in August) I went together with Carlye and David to Stockholm for 1,5 days. Of course, I spent some time at Lakritsroten (heaven on earth within licorice) and bought a lot of nice things. Among others, they had just got a coffee with liquorice flavor. When I was there, the barista that had sold this coffee to the shop was there too. Turned out that he was working at the company that I worked for before I moved to New York. The coffee has been standing in the cabinet since then. As the barista I am, I don’t like when ground coffee is standing for too long. It loses flavor and of course it isn’t as fresh. Now, I took the coffee out and I’m having it with my breakfast. Just like the barista I spoke to in the store said, licorice flavor comes as an after-taste. It smells like licorice in our whole apartment now and unfortunately I must say that the smell is nicer than the taste. Maybe it’s because the coffee has been standing for so long and then lost it’s taste, I don’t know. A little disappointed, but it’s perfectly ok coffee anyway. Those of you who have followed my site a longer time may know that I’m both a coffee- and licoricelover. I like good quality. It was really interesting to study to become a barista. Even if it was a short course before my future job, it gave me incredibly much. It would have been fun to go a licorice-course too 🙂
Vi kikade bl.a lite snabbt i tva djurbutiker.
In mid-morning we went up to 72nd Street on Upper West Side. Bought breakfast coffee and walked to Central Park. We walked in to 30 different tourist groups and thronged with like a million people. Aaah! We passed them quickly and went to a calmer places. Very nice. We have actually not been in Central Park in, well, maybe a year. We sat down for a while on a bench in the sun. We continued our walk to Upper East side. We looked quickly in two animal stores. Oh, I feel so bad for the cute puppies in cages. Just wanted to hug them and tell them that everything will be ok. The walk continued down to our old neighborhood, Midtown East, where we ate lunch and looked at comic books. Now we’re home. Watched White Sox that lost. Soon making some dinner and then it’s basketball all night.
All deras mat ar otroligt god, men de ger stora portioner.
Didn’t do a proper spring-cleaning today. But have got a lot done at home. All my clothes are now clean, dry and nicely folded in my drawers. The dishwasher did a good job and other dishes is also clean and stands to dry. I have cleared piles of papers and organized and made it nice in our apartment. Now, I have been relaxed by reading my book “Mitt liv i rorelse” (My life in motion) by Lilian Karina. I have had that book in my bookshelf for a couple of years now but never read it. Lilian Karina was a part of the creation of the school I went to that is today called University of Dance and Circus (read more about it HERE, unfortunately the English site sucks, so google-translate the Swedish version for best info). An interesting book. I can come back to you on what I think about it when I’m done. Tonight we are going out to eat. We’re going to a place in East Village that we have been to before a couple of times. Last time we were there it ended with that I threw up. All their food is incredibly nice, but they give really big portions. Since it taste so good you don’t wanna stop eating and then you end up like last time. Totally worth it 🙂
Idag ar forhoppningsvis sista dagen man behover anvanda vinterjackan.
Today is hopefully the last day you have to wear a winter jacket. Or, you probably don’t have to wear a winter jacket today either, but since I’m always cold I will probably wear mine. From tomorrow I hope the spring is here for real. Today I really have to wash my work out clothes and I feel to clean the apartment. Woke up this morning and directly thought of places I want to dust. We have a clean home (I like to clean), but you don’t always do it super thoroughly. If I feel for it later, there will probably be some scrubbing. It’s nice with spring-cleaning 🙂
Utanfor varat fonster ser det sahar trakigt ut just nu. Vart ar varen?! Outside our window it looks this boring right now. Where is the spring?!
