Monday Shopping

So, today I went to soho for some shopping. I was in DESPERATE need of new jeans, or pants in general actually. I didn’t wanna walk around in every single small shop to find a good price on some Levis jeans so I just simply went directly to the Levis store on Spring St. Sure, the prices are higher than the smaller crappy stores, but at least I could find a pair of pants. I need more than one pair and I definitely need black pants so I have to get my ass out for shopping again.
After finding one pair of jeans and then some basic things I needed, I met Emma and Levy for coffee. A peppermint latte, playtime with a baby and some girl talk, a very nice afternoon 🙂

Jim and I took Thor out for a long walk in Tribeca yesterday. Almost two hours and Thor was a really good boy, so proud of him. The weather was perfect too, like around 25 degrees and a little cloudy. I am always cold and I prefer warmer weather walking around in bikini, but my two boys loves it when its a bit colder and if they are happy, then I am happy:)

The Pope

Pope Francis is in the city. I was walking Thor and there were police cars, news teams and lots of people, so I thought that maybe I could stay out for a little longer and maybe get a chance to see him. Soon I met a neighbor and her puppy and she got me more excited about it and I realized that it’s kinda a big deal to see the Pope. We found a good spot to stand. We waited and waited and when I heard that he was not done with his speech yet I decided to run home to leave Thor and go back out. We stood there for a while and my phone was almost out of battery. Eventually he came. I filmed it but when he came right by me I decided that filming or taking pictures was less important and I really wanted to see him with my own eyes and not through a camera. A happy smiling and waving Pope in a black car. Two seconds and gone. But now I can say that I saw the Pope:)

Madonna at MSG

On Thursday last week we went to Madison Square Garden to see Amy Schumer and Madonna!! Jim got tickets through work so we had a suite with great food and drinks and a nice view over the stage. The suites are a bit higher up so you’re not very close to the court/stage, but you can still see everything perfectly fine.
Amy Schumer was funny. I was curious of how a comedian could open for someone like Madonna. I have to say, it’s kinda nice to laugh for a half hour before you gonna see an artist, it lights up the mood.
I liked the show. The last Madonna show we went to (her MDNA tour, 2012, at the Yankee Stadium) was a lot better and I like her songs from that album a little more than these new ones. The dance was way better and more creative last time too. But, I still love to see Madonna live!
I decided to leave my good camera at home this time. I have been denied to bring it in before or at some place I had to check it in. It’s also kinda nice to go to a concert and focus on the show and not sit behind a lens the entire time. I took some pictures with my phone though.

Our Weekend

Email to someoneShare on FacebookPin on PinterestTweet about this on Twitter

Well, hello! How are you guys? Now I really feel that the fall is on its way. It’s not cold, but I can see the change in the trees. I also feel a bit tired in the mornings which resulted in sleep-ins this weekend.
On Saturday, I took the train out to Brooklyn to celebrate Emma’s birthday together with some friends. We were 8 girls and one tiny little guy that completely stole the evening:) Levy is just the cutest so if he want to steal our attention, then that’s ok. We had a great time!
Sunday meant cleaning, together with my husband actually, kinda hehe. And when we were done we walked to Brookfield to get lunch and discovered that the Battery Park Party we went to last year was just over. I’m a little sad. I enjoyed it last year and so did Thor so I had actually looked it up online a few weeks ago but didn’t find any info about it, and apparently it was yesterday. Oh well. In the afternoon we did laundry, gave Thor a bath and I cooked dinner. A very relaxed weekend ended with an episode of Game of Thrones (we are on season 5 and I still wonder when it’s gonna start to be good) and a cup of tea. I was overflowing with feelings all evening. I love my husband, I love my puppy, I love our home and I love our life together as one happy family. A fantastic ending of last week and lets start this week just as fabulous.

I have to apologize for the lack of posts here the last two-three weeks. That’s just how it is right now.
Yesterday we had to take our little four legged love to the animal hospital. He probably thought he scored when he found some Swedish Marabou Chocolate, but mommy freaked out and daddy came home from work. The vet had no doctor available so they sent us to a different location and a taxi driver rejected us in to his car with a dog (idiot!) and T was probably confused why this all happened. He spent a few hours there and now he’s fine. Our little love ♥
The cold is slowly coming to New York and I’m not ready for it, so I’m trying to enjoy the last bit of summer as much as I can. We still have around 25-30 degrees in the middle of the day, but the mornings are cold with barely 20 degrees outside. But, I am still excited about this fall. We have some exciting things to look forward to and I am ready for hard work:)
