Some of my favorites from Kauai

It is sooooo hard to just pick a few favorite things, cause every single thing we did on this trip was awesome. I have so many pictures I can share and it’s really hard to choose.
Wailua Falls was of course the most memorable thing for me (the picture above). But the helicopter ride is hard to top, all the different trails that we hiked was of course special in their own way, the Hindu Monastery had the most breathtaking view and the Polihale State Park was the most peaceful place we visited during this vacation.
More updates to come:)

Good Morning guys! I started my day with coconut yogurt with lots of fruity toppings and coffee in my new coffee mug (not Hawaiian coffee though) while watching the videos from our helicopter ride. I love when they give you usb’s like this:)
Yesterday afternoon, I started to swell up in my throat and ears. I was really sore and couldn’t swallow or speak like normal. I didn’t really have any fever and I wasn’t too tired but my throat hurt a lot. I was zipping tea with honey all night. My dear husband went to buy me ice cream and candy, best husband ever. I have felt much better today, mostly just congested especially when I come back inside from a walk with Thor. My ears hurt and I loose hearing at times (I can barely hear on normal days, so this is a bit frustrating). Rest is all I can do today and hopefully I’m good for the weekend.
Have an awesome day and happy world tutu day (2/2 😀 )!

Woke up in a snowy Stamford

We are back in Stamford. It felt like a very long trip from the island and home. Maybe because we didn’t actually wanna go home:) Our time in Kauai was absolutely amazing. We were pretty active and now we need a vacation from our vacation, haha. My body is sore and tired, but mostly in a good way. The sore muscles are from doing fun things and seeing wonderful views so it makes it ok.

It was cold when we came back yesterday but not as bad as I thought it would be. This morning, after 10 hours of sleep (which felt awesome), I woke up by the very loud noises outside and after Jim came back inside after taking Thor out I asked him what was going on outside. Snow blowers. Apparently it had snowed all night. There was no snow at all on the ground when we landed and I think Stamford had a little higher temperatures when we were gone. Now we are back to cold degrees and snow. But it’s ok. It actually looks pretty outside and I have a million warmer pictures to look at on my computer. I will share some of them with you guys of course:)

LA

Another coffee picture:)

We arrived in LA a bit earlier and then hung out in the virgin clubhouse for 1.5 hour. The coffee wasn’t the greatest and I have to say that the lounge at JFK was better in terms of food.

We’re on the plane now. Bigger plane and a bit more room. The first flight was not comfortable at all. The person in front of me pushed her seat back and I could not move at all. Jim had a kid sleeping on his shoulder haha. On this flight we sit in a two seat which is nice and more space which helps my sore knees and back.

In 6 hours or so we are back in the cold. I threw away my muddy shoes and only have sandals, it will definitely be cold:)
