God morgon! Idag ar det St Patrick’s Day! I helgen har vi sett massor med gronkladda personer. Under var promenad i lordags sag vi inte en enda bar som inte var packad med folk..mitt pa dagen. Jag antar att paraden kommer att vara idag, sa Fifth Ave kommer sakert vara annu gronare senare idag:)
Good morning! Today is St Patrick’s Day! This weekend we have seen lots of green dressed people. During our walk on Saturday we didn’t see a single bar that wasn’t packed with people..on mid day. I guess the parade will be today, so Fifth Ave will for sure be even greener later today:)
Forresten, har ni sett filmen The Great Gatspy? Eller last boken? Vi har nagra gratis HBO manader pa tv’n och de visade den filmen i lordags. J har last boken tidigare, men jag hade ingen som helst koll alls pa vad den handlade om. Efter 10 min in pa filmen var jag otroligt uttrakad. Varfor? Det utspelar sig pa 20-talet men de har gjort det sa modernt. Hur de har filmat, musiken (nutida pop/rap musik, come on!) och hur de dansade. Visst att man ska fornya tekniken och tanket inom film, men jag blev sa besviken. Sa fina costumes (som de vann en Oscar for) och sa trakig nutid musik ovan pa det. Nu later jag som en gammal tant, men jag vart inte jatteimponerad, tyvarr.

Btw, have you seen the movie The Great Gatspy? Or read the book? We have a few free HBO months on the tv and they showed the movie on Saturday. J have read the book before, but I had absolutely no idea at all on what it was about. After 10 minutes in to the movie, I was incredibly bored. Why? It takes place in the 20’s but they have done it so modern. How they’ve filmed it, the music (todays pop/rap music, come on!) and how they danced. Sure, they have to renew the technique and way of thinking in movies, but I was so disappointed. So nice costumes (which they won an Oscar for) and so boring new music on top of it. Now l sound like an old lady, but I was not that impressed, unfortunately.
