Hello and happy potential birth month!
I am 36 weeks pregnant today. Baby can come any day now, but preferable in 3-4 weeks. The bump has dropped, I feel it and I can see it when I relax the belly completely. I had a doctors appointment yesterday and my doctor also said that my belly has dropped. Bump measures good, heart rate was lower than it’s ever been but still pretty high and normal, my blood pressure is great and my body feels good. Yesterday I had to get a Group B Strep test done which is standard for 36 weeks. Lilliput have had a lot of hiccups and a quick google search said that if the baby has hiccups for more than 4 times in one day it could mean there’s a problem with the umbilical cord, and lilliput had hiccups 5 times from Monday night til Wednesday morning, so of course I wanted to ask about that. But my doctor just shook her head and said that there’s nothing to worry about, baby is just practicing. I am also going in for an ultrasound tomorrow so if there is any problems they will tell me then. But so far the baby is doing great♥

For this month we are thinking about this years word CALM. I still have my todo list to work on, but I am not gonna force anything. If I need to take a nap, go for a walk, meditate, read a baby book instead of dealing with to-do’s, then so be it. This month my body and mind comes first. The main goal is to get myself mentally and physically prepared for giving birth and of course to keep my little love healthy and safe both before, during and after her/his birthday. Everything else comes second hand.

This weekend I am going to write my birth plan for my doctors and I will write one for Jim as well. I will also write post-birth-wishes for J and myself cause I think it’s important to think ahead of ways we can support each other. Thor is my biggest worry but by staying calm and having J and myself on the same page it will be a lot easier. My dream is that the puppy and the baby will become best friends but we need to be there to encourage that in the best way possible.

I can actually still tie my shoes bending over with straight legs believe it or not, but baby doesn’t seem to like that very much so I always squat down
Since I don’t drive, J drives me to the doctor and Thor comes along to keep him company while waiting
