One month til due date. These dates usually don’t really mean anything, but I still want to believe that the baby will come in the end of April, but we’ll see:)
This weekend we had our Virtual Baby Shower! I can’t even begin to tell you how grateful I am to have so many wonderful people in our lives. We feel so loved and supported. And this baby is so spoiled already.
Instead of having a large zoom gathering, we wrote on the card that people can call or video chat with us between noon and 3pm (est). With the time difference in Sweden this worked out as well (especially since they hadn’t changed their clocks yet). We kinda thought it could easily turn into a shitshow but it worked out great. We would have liked everyone to schedule a time but there was just no good way of writing that on the card we sent out, but it didn’t matter, it worked out, we got to talk to everyone long enough. At one point we had three calls coming in at the same time but everyone was nice and could adjust. I sat on the couch upstairs for three hours talking and talking to everyone we love. J had to take Thor out at one point, but other than that we just hung out with loved ones which was really nice, we haven’t seen any of them in over a year and having to go through a whole pregnancy on our own it just feels amazing that we got talk to everyone before we become parents. Very successful day!
We are not into silly games and stuff like a lot of other showers have, so instead we decided to ask everyone a couple of questions:
* Do you have any advise or some words for the baby or anything in general you would like to tell us before baby comes?
* Do you think it’s a girl or a boy?
We pretty much got the same answer on the first one from everyone. Basically to be calm, breathe through it when things are hard, enjoy each stage of baby’s life, love, love and more love. And for the girl/boy question it was a tie game the whole time which was funny. The final call made it to be one more vote for girl, but friends of ours who went into labor on Saturday and obviously couldn’t call, I know there’s one vote for boy:) But, both J and I are currently on the girl team 
I seriously can’t thank everyone enough for all the love we get. We’ve had two years of tremendous amount of support and we are so grateful. My heart is definitely full.
Now we just need to bring this new family member into this world and hopefully everyone can meet her/him sooner rather than later♥
We ordered a cake even though it was just us two here, cause a baby shower should have cake:)
They did an amazing job on that bear, I hope I can find a way to save it
Thor was dressed up as well
Went for a spring theme since the baby will be born in April or May
We had Apple Cider in our Christmas gifts
I actually didn’t get a chance to take any other pictures with Jim in it, but oh well

The cake started to melt after only a few minutes (it was a hot day both inside and outside), so we had to put that in the fridge and we kept the bear out
