MAY THE THORS BE WITH YOU
Helluuu! How are you? I feel like maybe I should make a real update about what we are doing these days cause I haven’t updated here much lately. However, we are all doing the same thing every day; staying at home – so maybe not that exciting:) Life starts to open up a bit more now though it seems like, I’ve seen friends all over the world posting about that parks has been opened up now since May 1st > except for Sweden, they don’t seem to understand how bad this virus is, I’ve seen friends post pictures of themselves at cafe’s and restaurants and going to playgrounds with their kids every day since this all started and people still go to work and school > but the rest of the world is slowly opening up which is nice. I think they have been talking about May 15th for us, but who knows, we’ll see.
Speaking of nothing, yesterday several cars came, honking and honking, and then stopped outside our apartment in the middle of the street. On the cars they had written “happy birthday” and they all came out of their cars wearing facemasks and screaming to their friend who were standing on a balcony in the building across from us. So cute. We saw something similar the day before as well. That is just so sweet.
For awhile we heard church bells at 7pm every night but that seems to have stopped. I think that was such a beautiful thing. Here in Stamford noone is cheering at 7 like they do every night in NYC so the bells felt like a nice appreciation for our heroes. Someone I know posted about her 30 hour shifts at the hospital in new york about a month ago, they do so much for everyone, they need all the love♥
And speaking about hospitals, this morning I covered my face, put rubber gloves on and walked over to quest diagnostics to do my blood test (cause as you know, I’m still not cleared). I got in right away…only to find out that there was no order from my doctor even though I called them about it a week ago. My doctors office hadn’t opened yet at that time so all I could do was to go home and reschedule. Once I was back, my husband and Thor came to meet me and we all went for a little walk together before we went home to drink coffee.
It sucks of course that I couldn’t do my test today, but good thing is that now I know how it looks like over there, I’ve been a little nervous considering everything going on in the world, but it was organized and clean, so I don’t mind going back later this week:)
