it’s so beautifully green now ♥
This morning Jim covered his face and took Thor to the vet for a follow up appointment for his bladder stones. What we didn’t know was that there’s a drop-off at 8am and pickup isn’t until noon. Poor thing. We aren’t allowed to go in, they just come out to the car with their own leash and brings him inside. We thought that maybe Jim could go home for a quick sip of coffee and then have to go back right away, but nope, he’s going to be there til noon. He must be so scared and confused.
He will have new x-rays taken to see if the stones are still there and then we have also asked them to clean his ear cause we have seen that there is a piece of hair stuck in there that makes it very itchy so he keeps scratching which of course can cause infections (that thick strand of hair is too far down in his ear canal so we can’t safely clean it ourselves, you have to be really careful with dogs ears). I hope he won’t be too upset with us when he comes back home, we have to make sure he gets some extra love.
Yesterday I went on a 1.5 hour long walk by myself. It was absolutely lovely. For the first half I listened to a podcast cause a lot of the houses on that “cute street” that I like to call it has full renovation going on these days and I didn’t feel like listening to that. But then I took my headphones out for the second half of my walk and it was amazing cause it was also kind of lunch time for workers. I could still hear some construction but mostly I heard an owl and some birds singing. Then a woman came running past me singing out loud to her music she had in her headphones, and later down the street I heard workers sing along to some nice Mexican music (it was after all Cinco de Mayo yesterday). It was just such a perfect walk. It’s nice to be out these days since you really don’t meet many people, I might have met three people plus that running woman.
I do miss sounds of people though. I haven’t really seen any kids for the past two months which kinda feels weird. I really hope our city will open up more soon. I miss a lot of things. But for now I am going to enjoy the quietness:)
