Our Easter weekend

More weather news from Stamford. Snow. Yup, we have snow again and it’s not just a little either, it’s several inches. Jim is working from home. This weekend was so nice weather-wise too. I even burned the top of my forehead and my chest when we sat on our terrace in just t-shirts. I’m glad we have that weekend in Florida coming up this month:)

Speaking of this weekend. We had three awesome days! On Friday, we left Thor with our neighbor and then drove down to New Jersey to visit Emma, Levy and Cristian. They bought a house almost a year ago and we thought it was time to go see it. Such a cute house and it seems perfect for them. We had a great time playing with Levy (who’s already 3!) and catching up with E and C. After an awesome dinner, we drove back home. It took about 1.5 hour, so not too bad.
On Saturday morning, we took Thor in the car and drove to Tod’s Point Beach in Old Greenwich. We knew that it was the last day of the year that dogs are aloud in the park (which seems odd, there is lots of walks away from the beaches where dogs could join, but I guess they are not allowed in the whole park during summer months). Everybody else brought their dogs too. We came early which was a good thing cause by the time we left it started to be crowded on the parking lots. It was a pretty nice beach, and when you walk more to the tip you can see the skyline of Manhattan, NYC. Thor got to walk a little on a beach once last year, but this time he got to really explore and also walk up to the ocean water. He thought he was supposed to drink the water haha. He doesn’t like to be wet or dirty so he didn’t actually go in. All the other dogs were off leash playing out in the water though.
We bought coffee in a drive thru and sat on our terrace for awhile to eat our breakfast. Went to the gym for an hour and then to a happy hour at a fish restaurant near us. Spent the afternoon out on our terrace again before the basketball started on tv.
Sunday was pretty relaxed. Brunch next door, grocery shopping, dancing in the sun in a park (video will be posted on Wednesday) and a pork chop dinner at home. Not too bad for Easter.

And today we woke up from the sound of snow plows. I had no idea we gonna get this much snow. Spring one day, winter the next. Our world is upside down.
