I want to believe that the spring is on it’s way

Good Morning! How are you? I feel pretty great actually. I had a swollen throat all weekend until yesterday so haven’t been that active. Very motivated to move my body but since I have been sick over and over this winter I wanted to be careful with this swollen throat of mine. But I felt fine this morning so I left the apartment along with J when he was going to work. There was only one man down at the gym when I got there. I did some warmup stuff, power walked on the treadmill for awhile and then pilates on a mat. By this time the gym was packed and I kinda felt like I was in the way, so I left.

I usually turn on the HGTV channel when I’m on a machine (bike, treadmill or cross-trainer), but this morning I decided to have the local news on when I was on the treadmill (they only have like three channels to choose from). I’ve talked about this before; watching/reading the news in the morning makes my whole day sad. It was mostly just weather reports, CT highway reports and commercials, but in the bottom they had a line of the latest headline news of the world. Sad. Yes, it’s good to know what is happening in the rest of the world, but seeing/reading sad news first thing in the morning isn’t really setting a good tone for the day. I know that there are terrible things going around in the world, I don’t need all the updates 24/7. Not gonna have the news on the exercise machines again. HGTV is so much more fun:)
What do you think? Do you read the news in the morning?
