Har precis kommit hem från en timmes lång interview med en man från Australien som är i New York under en månads tid för att studera The Equus Projects för sin PhD forskning inom “Human-Animal Studies and Critical Management Studies”. Jag tänker dock inte gå in på vad hans arbete handlar om just nu.
På vårt rehearsal igår (med The Equus) kom vi in på något som jag tyckte var väldigt intressant. Vi nuddade bara vid det och jag har talat om att jag tycker att vi borde bygga vidare på det. Det bygger på principer som kompaniet jobbar utefter såsom kroppsspråk och formning av ens kropp gentemot någon annans eller i gruppens. Det är det vi gör med hästarna, shaping to their bodies. Så det vi gjorde igår var att gå in i en slags improvisation med skapande i nuet utifrån varandras rörelsemönster och kroppar med ett konstant “shaping”. Om vi går tillbaka till utforskandet av det ska jag försöka utveckla det lite mer för er, för just nu är det väldigt flummigt.
Ok, det var ju inte mycket jag kunde komma med idag, hahaha. Är inte så bra med ord just idag utan jag ser allt i bilder. Så därför bjuder jag på lite NY bilder tagna från Jim’s kontor.

At our rehearsal yesterday (with The Equus) we did something that I thought was very interesting. We just touched it and I have told that I think we should go further in to that. It is based on principles that the company works with such as body language and the shaping of one’s body against someone else or to the group. It’s what we do with the horses, shaping to their bodies. So what we did yesterday was to go into a kind of improvisation with creativity in the moment from each movement patterns and bodies with a constant “shaping”. If we go back to the exploration of that, I’ll try to develop it a bit more for you, right now it’s very fuzzy.
